Good write, never been there, but want to go someday! "The Chivera" that is just what that dog was, a guard dog. Ranch Escondido in Marfa, Texas, I was ranch foreman there for 5 years. There were mountain lion and coyotes, never lost a goat...had a small bell on it's neck like a cow bell, very smart dog...Thanks Danny
