How To Restore Your Joy

Restoring My Joy How does one restore joy? Is there a secret ingredient? A secret concoction? Perhaps a bucketful of daisies? Or a million dollars in your pocket? I say joy is restored by running through wheat fields in my ponytails Or finding my way out of a corn maze Or maybe an entire day entranced by finding a four leaf clover Because by the time this most difficult day is over I will have traveled back in time with my Heavenly Father To a moment of complete innocence When the world didn't oppose me Or the enemy try to expose me with his dirty lies and games I am a soldier in the Lord's army That is who I am! I have been battered and bruised Shoved and pushed around enough! It is time to take a stand! For what I have learned on this journey of fasting is Who the real me is The betrayal, the lies, the lust-filled darts I am about to declare a holy war against the enemy! If you are in the army of the Lord and you want to restore your joy Simply pick up your sword and your shield of faith And gather at the feet of our Savior No more controversy, no more oppression Just brothers and sisters in Christ ready to stand up And drag the King of Hell back to his lair! Arise! Arise! Oh children of the Lord's Army! Hear the palpations of war! The days of our attacks are almost over! We are about to be restored What has he stolen from you? Innocence? What has he done to your heart? Let's challenge the beast and his loathsome demons With a mighty victorious charge! Gwendolen Rix 8-1-14
