How Much Do I Love You

How much do I love you? Is there a limit to my loving you or to loving at all? My love for you does not need an invitation It is spontaneous like glamorous laughter It is not seduction or addiction It is not out of sympathy or empathy It is my heart yearning to become one with yours— One that cannot cease to be or deceive you The first time we met, the first looks we exchanged The first words we whispered, the many moments we spent If I were to choose between a hundred moons and you My choice would be you I know the winter means a lot more than white Your smiles far outshine the intensity of its glow A waterfall is an example of crystal clearness— Your heart is an epitome of purity more lovable Nature softens its hue from your dreams How much I fall for you only if words can mention I would fill pages and pages beyond any count More than the innumerable raindrops in an outpouring More than the numerous dew drops in a dawn welcoming With you I have known the bright side of desire More than sunrise’s gold and sunset’s red It comes from within as if saying ‘come in’ With you love beckons us to be man and wife With tender kisses beauty infatuates An innocent brow of love--all of this creates a new world Where I and YOU unite for now and forever
