How It Is
I was asked once what is it that I look forward in life;
Before I would picture myself arriving home,
See my little critters run towards me with joy
Take off my shoes and have Spencer bring my flip flops.
Enjoy a Jamaican Taco as the sun sets down,
Illuminating the glorious western skies.
Receiving a thousand licks from my furry friends
All embracing me as their provider.
Now I see Life with different eyes,
Effects have evolved under the same skies.
I see you and me sitting under that orange glare
Our sights lusting through nature’s dares.
The Miniature beasts will forever remain,
With the exception that now they have a new friend.
One with not much fur but with a great heart,
The one that with one simple glance melts my soul.
So now if I was asked again, what is it that I look forward in life?
I would still respond the same way for the exception that now,
You are part of my plan.
