How I Love You

HOW I LOVE YOU I’ve shared with you my plans, I’ve shared with you my history; So why do you continue, to be such a mystery? I opened up to you, with my heart on my sleeve; But lately I’ve been wondering, If I should just leave. For years I was hurt, Love played me a fool. Never again would that happen, I made that my rule. And then I met you, Like a breath of fresh air, I caught myself asking, “Do I want to go there?” You’ve made it all clear, Life, happiness and love, And I’ll tell you every day, You’re my gift from above. I’ve given you my heart, And shared with you my past, Solely because I believe in this, This love I know will last. A relationship requires, things from two souls, Mending two broken hearts, who will soon become whole. Sometimes we get scared, And want to run away; But I promise you now, my love is here to stay. Nothing is perfect, this we all know; But our love is for real, even when it’s hard to show. Promise me, you’ll know, that our love we have is true; Because I promise every day, I fall more in love with you.
