How Hard I Have Tried
how hard i have tried
many times truly how hard I have tried
result was all our brains would collide
could be considered a perfect excuse
when you utilizing poetry voice abuse
the reality is you will soon realize
words seem to often over-emphasize
and also have applied excessive rhyme
then ended up (doing) it all the time
all of us poets start becoming suspicious
if you describe your poems as delicious
and of yours after we read just a few
(did) discover that they were hard to chew
(so) what we all (did) was to demand
in order for us to better understand
only cows go moo and kittens meow
right handed first put on right shoe
maybe preposterous point might miss
all that is sublime contains pure bliss
and had become a case of hypocrisy
to say my poems only have mediocrity
