How Can We Learn To Love

When you see others hurting and your heart doesn’t cry, Look inside and ask yourself the answer to your why? The path we’re given here on Earth is so we can learn. To begin the learning process, we must feel concern. For each to evolve while on this Earth, each must transform. Right choices made along the way seldom cause much harm. Look upon others from you heart, so you see their need, Helping others where they’re at is how you plant the seed. For all that’s created with Love as it’s source, Can be looked at later with no remorse. Some parts of the path may sometimes be tough, But the strength provided is always enough. Follow the guidance of the Spirit within, With Love as your source, you’ll always win. Struggle is important, it’s just part of the test, The grade will not matter when you’ve done your best. Whether your sons, daughters, fathers, or mothers, Spend part of your life’s time learning to love others. Now you’ve learned to love, show you believe, It’s better to give than to receive.

You've truly captured the beauty, awe, and power of love. In our thoughts, words, and actions do we exemplify love. Love = such a powerful force; I fall weak sometimes and neglect being loving.

I wish this was on a billboard in every city Bill "When you see others hurting and your heart doesn’t cry, Look inside and ask yourself the answer to your why?" Empathy is so important! It is what makes us HUMAN.

Amen, Caren. I feel sorry for those that have no sense of empathy for those less fortunate than themselves. It's as if they think that actual deserve all the good fortune that have experienced in life. All life experiences are different; like the old saying goes, "don't be so quick to judge until you've walked a mile in their shoes." Thanks for your understanding and insightful comments, Caren. You rock! Bill

What a beautiful stream of thought Bill. I feel too much for others.... that's my problem ! I am pained when I see others' misery ! To some extent, it is a good quality. But too much of it makes one's heart disturbed all the time. With "Love as your source, you’ll always win. Struggle is important, it’s just part of the test, The grade will not matter when you’ve done your best" .......These lines comfort me a lot !

I feel closest to God when I feel empathy and love for others in their times of need. I know God works miracles through our struggles, but at times, as you say, it breaks my heart. I cannot imagine what Christ must have felt. Thanks for your comments, my friend Valsa. Smiles ~ Blessings, Bill

Bill, a necessary teaching. As with the gospel ... We can share. The Spirit alone can prosper our efforts. In Bible study last nite, the question arose if we can teach "love"? In my case, daily bibkecreading allowed God's spirit to make me more human

I agree, Anil, the Holy Spirit is the key to learning how to Love. Looking at others as God would is a lifelong process of surrendering to the will of the Spirit within. Thanks for commenting, I learn from your thoughts often. A poet friend in Texas, Bill

wow, this is an incredible message, Bill, and something not a strong point for me. I kind of keep to myself and do not actively search out those suffering or in need. The world needs more people like you.

Thank you, Andrea. I've had my share of light and shadow. I can sleep at night knowing I'm trying to love as much as I can. I'm still growing and finding more ways of knowing. Have a nice evening my friend, Bill

Thanks for the uplifting comments, Gordon. It's hard for me to believe the majority of people think our world today is the way it ought to be. I just sit and shake my head sometimes. Have a great week! Bill

Wow, in a perfect world, Bill, and why cannot we learn, Once a manager of over 300 employees always managed harmony, yet only to find one bad apple, never been able to quite understand that. this poetry would go a long way to help there.

To loving people, it doesn't make since to walk around mad, angry and negative all the time. It seems like being nice to people, working hard and have different ideas without hating others that don't agree with your ideas has gone out of style. Thanks for your comments, Harry. It's always a pleasure to read your comments and your poetry. A poet friend in Texas, Bill
