Houses Filled With Sand
When families gathered ‘round their table
Thought their town would never be gone
But when life became unbearable
They just shut it down and then moved on.
The people left, their hearts were broken
Their empty houses spread on the land
Windows broken, and doors left open,
Slowly filling with nothing but sand.
So when your heart seems to be broken
Don’t let the sands of loneliness win
Vow to keep your heart and soul open
To let the healing and love to come in.
