Hope Is About Tomorrow
Hope is about tomorrow.
A made up distant realm.
Life is but our ship with us ahold its helm.
The shoals that seek to sink us.
Spring from the darkest thoughts.
As we sail so blithely to them
at the fastest speed of knots.
A fool who thinks it shall save them.
Drops like a falling stone.
The pressure of lifes oceans, crush the human bone.
Believe you fools, hold tight the dream,
tomorrow be so bright.
See what you say as you freeze, in the darkest night.
The kicks and stones of society,
shall try and bring you to your knees.
For you are but the fodder they do to as they please.
The helping hand that strikes you.
The concern that steals your soul.
All ‘that,’ does conspire, to own you is its goal.
