Hope
Black spirits stay close
To the sweet smell of sin,
Buried deep beneath my soul
Is the beauty you’ll find within.
Strangely I am in tune
With the light speckled throughout,
Waves of love and hate mix
My mind screams and shouts.
Chaotic dreams start to rupture
No longer does my heart beat,
Serenity is no longer a pleasure
As life seeks to strangle me.
But on the horizon, I stop
Slowly peering through the glass,
I hear a voice so loud
My eyes shut and I’m in a trance.
“Hurry come with me-
I have hope”, I hear Him say,
“Live, love, try hard
And your soul will be saved.”
