Hope

He came to me not so long ago With lying lips of nectar; Adorned was he in a shiny Armour of hope, Hope of eternal hope With a shimmering disguise of false hope That faded with time into eternity Many were blinded by this quivering light Emitted at his premier As this betrayal of hope crawls timely in your bed And slowly manifests in itself your head. I often fantasize about the grand entry of this hope; Slowly I grapple with the denial of the truth. I am then jolted by the appearance of deceit That many would not see not even me.
