Hook Line Thinker

I was reeled in
Not knowing if I was
Swimming...or broken
I swallowed your line
Starving for what you fed me
Dumbstruck and wounded
There was no fight,
No chance that I would not
Succumb to your lures
Maybe here was my chance
To witness saviour
But now I see
You have chosen
To fillet and release
My heart.

And there's plenty more fish in the sea.
For those like you.

wow, another very good poem from you. I love how you carefully choose your titles too. Word play is so fun. Extended metaphors are some of my favorite types of poetry to read.
