Hook Line and Sinker
HOOK LINE AND SINKER
left right and centre
trees crowd highways
like gawkers at
a police barrier
arms wave unsteadily
narrowing the light
abstraction makes
me ill
hook line and sinker
hunched down shut
eyes tight with fright
greens sway on and on
until they stop
dead still
left right and centre
a year streaked with
sunny weathers acre
upon acre of fields
reaching within
souls fill
hook line and sinker
prehistoric thinker
steering gripping
knuckles tight white
falling apart
with a fresh
lost will
