Honestly

Hiding from my memories Otherwise they'll submerse me Eyes wide shut They're all I can see Honestly. I'd rather be blind Searching none for displaced air Running out, getting nowhere Child's play Fate accepts my dare Honestly. I'm getting away Clenching my jaw in moonlit glow Breathing in the scent I know Merely a stranger Blatant trust shows Honestly. You're blissfully blind Sleeping for not is a fact now Lest no rest these lies allow Hush little baby Apart from motherly sow Honestly. She searches no longer Crashing in the devil creeps Yet this night my darling sleeps Repose young soul Demons play for keeps Honestly. They never seem to learn

Memories can be good or bad. They can consume us or we can learn from them and go forward a better person. Keep the creative pen flowing and entertain us with your words. Sara
