Homecoming
HOMECOMING
I've got to fade, be yesterday
dry up and blow away
I've got to go where I belong
where life won't have the timing wrong.
I have to leave this world behind
and go someplace I'll never find
and be a part of what is not
death's tender kiss alone has brought.
I've got to die into the past
so that my love will always last
and do it all too willingly
my death is all the life of me.
