Home Safe

The crowd roared, the batter ran, The ball sailed through the sky. " Home safe" the Umpire shouted, In joyous, loud reply. The weary soldier in the fight, His Mother on her knees. "Home safe," were words she longed to hear, To put her heart at ease. We struggle through the darkness. It's a long and arduous fight. In weakness and frustration, We reach toward the light. Oh Christian journey onward. And don't forget the prize. That's waiting, you will find it. Just beyond the skies. Just beyond our sorrow. Our pain and silly fears "Home safe" He will declare us. And wipe away our tears.
