Home At Last
HOME AT LAST
The Pearly Gates are open wide
St. Peter welcomes me inside
I look around with awestruck gaze
I stare in wonder, totally amazed
I stroll along the streets of gold
And marvel at the beauty I behold
I see before me the Tree of Life
And know I'm eternally free of strife
I continue to walk those golden streets
Wondering which loved ones I will meet
I see Mama and Daddy at last
Relatives and friends all from my past
We greet each other in joyful bliss
I never thought heaven would be like this
We walk together without a word
Hearing music more wonderful than ever heard
The sights unfold as we go on
Rivers so clear flow from a throne
And now I see Him face-to-face
Jesus, who saved me by His grace
He welcomes me with open arms
I know I now am free from harm
He leads me on paths where angels trod
And introduces me to God
