Home Alone a Five Minute Poem
Sitting in silence is like holding your soul’s hand
I can picture us there side by side where we stand
I hear nothing and everything at the same time
I imagine this is what it sounds like when angels cry
The thoughts dance like ballerina’s around my head
To the sound of no music as I lay still in my bed
With the exception of writing this poem little movement I make
I ponder and think how astonishing it is to be able to create
To conjure up ideas and plans and hopes and dreams of dreams
Like what if thoughts are really laser beams?
It only makes sense because thoughts travel faster than the speed of light
And either build or destroy something like the laser beams might
Thought is a magic power that graces the mind
Like the fact that you’re thinking in order to read this line
You get what I am saying although it seems far fetched
Because I painted a vision for you like a portrait is sketched
I laid down the lines and I did it well
In order to invite you into the story I wanted to tell
You see you need to truly understand why the mind needs silence
Because in stillness your magic power gains vibrance
Awareness becomes a great friend
And you master your thoughts instead of letting them blend
Every painter has a pallett of colors
That never match the same as others
So we must know how to use our paints to create our desires
By taming thoughts that once burned through like wild fire
