Holy Water
The heavens open and shed its tears upon my being
Water so heavy that I have difficulty seeing
Lord, with a heavy heart and eyes shut tightly,
I pray with every ounce of fight within me.
Please forgive me of all of my transgressions
Lord God, please understand my true intentions
I have willingly done wrong but I’m only human.
I give myself to You and I want to be a new woman.
I want to start fresh and completely brand new,
Like petals on a rose kissed by the early morning dew,
Let the rain wash over me and cleanse me of my sins.
I repent of them and want the chance to start over again.
Where the rain starts and the tears end, I’m not quite sure…
Just shower Your love upon me so that my soul will again be pure.
