Holy Roadmap

Our pastor gave us this message, today in his Sunday sermon, we must use the Holy Roadmap if we would not lose our way. When Jesus visited their home, hospitality was Martha’s aim. She proudly set a fine table, while Mary sat humbly bathing his feet. When Martha complained to Jesus, he didn’t scold nor did he chide, but very gently informed her, she had lost her sense of direction. When God came to Earth as Jesus, he didn’t have much time to stay. Mary’s humility pleased him, along with her intense interest in his every word. Her sister needed to join her, to listen and become his messenger. We serve our Lord in our own ways but what pleases him the most is how often we read his Word and relay it to others.. We should all be more like Mary, listening and learning. We must search our Holy Bible for what Jesus came to teach. In the Bible is the roadmap that will show the way. If we follow its directions we will find it a guide..

A great reminder for us, Joyce. That was one of the best stories in New testament of a woman and her devotion to Jesus!

When I'm at a loss for direction, I usually just pray for guidance, Joyce. Perhaps I should be reading the Bible more often to find a sense of direction. A beautifully written poem, dear. Love, Carolyn
