Hollow Eyes
The days drag by each one taking another crumb
Not whole anymore
Mind and body completely numb
Breathing alone feeling like a chore.
Wanting to feel something again
Hating the ice thats has consumed me inside
Even if its just the warmth of the sun on my skin
The harsh numbness too much to abide
With the risen moon each night
I have to consciously remember to breathe
Surviving, too stubborn not to fight
But this life is over there is nothing this soul needs
Empty just a shell this time
No one caring enough to help it stop
The ending bell so ready to chime
Can end it with just one pop
Behind each door another chance, that is what i am told
No one reveals that where your heart lies
There must be a soul for the story to unfold.
Hollow eyes...
