Hollow

Hollow:
During these times in Life
After the burning moments of agony and pain
There comes a moment when you lose yourself to the
Clutches of desperation of unrest
When giving up isn't an option
But neither is looking forward
When you drive yourself back into the same cycle of
Bitter contentment and sweet chaos
And so you go and stagnant, drifting like a raft at sea
Letting the wind take you here and there
When 'purpose' becomes another word for 'excuse'
When you don't recognize yourself anymore
After you've lost yourself to the pressure
After you've forgotten your name
Your soul becomes an empty shell
Your face becomes a painful mask
When the cold is knocking on your door
And you answer.
Then you're hollow.
