Hollow

And Ill be honest, Lately she feels a little lost, You wont see it through the smile, Planted on her face like roses in a garden, But that feeling rests inside her, Like thorns hidden behind petals. She will hide her eyes, Trying to avert the gaze into her soul, Hoping you do not see that she is wandering. And to you she will look coy, You'll see the faint smile on her lips, Her downcast fluttering eyes, And you might think she were a star in the night, You wouldn't realize she was missing her light. I'll be honest, she feels a little lost inside, The pieces to her puzzle are not in place, Only the corners and sides hold up her body, She's walking and laughing and smiling, But she feels just a little hallow inside.
