Holidays and Human Nature
A cataract's fantastic flight
From precipice, the Angel Falls
Cascades cold waters into cauldron's clouds.
Sky divers flying from this fearsome height
Free fall above the cheering crowds.
And climbers clinging, scale sheer walls
A breathless death defying sight.
As sun sets down then twilight fades
Nightfall parades her star spangled dress,
Moonlights dark shadow cloaks her smiling face,
She slowly schemes and masquerades.
Our wildest dreams, evenings embrace,
We look for love, within her sweet caress.
When finally to us,she serenades
A desert island reigns as queen
Her crown a lustrous coral reef,
Washed in warm waters,crystalline
Ferns fronds, her robes of emerald green
Our place of solitude, simply divine,
Where palm trees shade, brings sweet relief.
Those lazy days were so serene.
Volcanoes molten magmas flow
On land where fire and ice delights.
Great Geysir's steaming waters rise,
Where ancient sagas spoke of hell below.
Spectacular, across those evening skies
Aurora's coloured Northern Lights
We watched in awe, her magic lantern show.
