Historically Close Friends

In the seventeen hundreds, we’d be close friends We’d be laughing-playing pretend You’d know when I missed you Keeping you just for me In the mornings, I’d make you coffee and hold you in bed As I look in your eyes, you’d tuck my hair behind my ear We get closer but the books will never know For eternity I love you so So intwined in you I trace the heart that you drew on my arm two years ago Your drawings on my wall just for show I can’t write a love story Never will But when you read one When you see or hear one I hope you think of me
