Historian Frame of Mind

Something in the historian slant of the mind instinctively mulls over ever-lengthening, darkening shadows of all that comes to pass and fades away. Its pondering, contemplative yet leisurely, soaks in the acute clarity of the present then watches it recede and trail behind to form part of the landscape of hindsight.
