His Dream
Dedicated to Pastor Jimmy Bachelor, may his faith comfort, protect, and guide them
His dream is to find a place,
of comfort, for the child
Off the streets where they roam,
innocence being robbed and defiled
His dream is to take a stand
To save a generation, yet to be
So biased people have become,
what's underneath, they do not see
His dream is to strip away,
the shield, that they wear
To find potential locked inside,
to reach the stars, if they dare
His dream is to lead by example,
challenging, each one to be bold
Educate and teach responsibility,
to watch, the person inside unfold
His dream it to heal the hurt,
inflicted on our innocent babies
Just a chance to rise above,
the you can't do and maybe's
His dream should be reality,
to a world that shuts them out
A cold and drab existence awaits
that fills them each with doubt
His dream can become yours,
if we could just unite as one
If not, someday we'll pay the price
in a country that, they run
His dream is for, them to dream
so that, they will always know,
that, they can depend on adults
and with that, they will grow
