Hip Hop

Give me a beat and mic I’ll recite what I write Let me tell you a story of the hardships of life How to survive poverty and strife It’s the lifestyle of the youth Through the music it speaks the truth Everyone became more diversified We found the truth when the elders lied It reminds us of our strength and unity Never about self but just about family It changed the world of fashion A culture religion; it’s how we living Always breaking racial barriers and it binds us Together we learned how to love and trust It teaches us black lives matter Poetic black youth spit verses and their pockets got fatter Many become urban legends and stars It taught us to dream big and we can go far What we say, wear, eat, drink, and think Don’t turn your heads and don’t even blink This thing you were scare of and wanted to stop You can’t it’s the fabric of America, HIP HOP
