Hiding In Plain Sight

We see ourselves in everyone Our flaws we recognize They stand out like the morning sun Through holes in our disguise It's hard to turn and look away Most times we empathize Those other times our tongues betray Our guilt it then implies If we could learn to hold our tongue Learn not to criticize Then we could hide our faults among The silent who are wise. Sagacious words, stellar advice. To withhold criticism, to reflect in silence requires art, humanity, patience. So well penned, Daniel! I hope that you are well. Sincerely, Brian

Love how this wraps up in the last line, seems like great advice. Read a few others as well, you have a knack for great rhyme and flow, nicely done

Its an intricate maze, we sometimes blunder Through Daniel, is it a problem with learning? Or more a problem with retaining the lessons And building our persona from there ? Thoughts to consider.'

My dad always told me, "if people think you are a fool why open your mouth and remove all doubt" Sounded like good advice. I do appreciate your visit and your food for thought, Joe.I will consider:)

Wise message in great rhythm and rhyme… alas Daniel, words just seem to spill out of the wagging tongues of poetry! Good to see you unsilent … then again, there is such a thing as too silent, esp. when we’re still kicking :)
