Written 11/17/22 in honor of my grandson, Jaxon

Hey little man, what do you say? You're looking mighty fine today! Your baby blues are so big and bright, Your charming dimples are a delight! Hey little man, your pictures tease - Just want to give those cheeks a squeeze! And who can resist your baby speak - Your squeals and coos, a little squeak? Hey little man, your winsome smiles, Make me want to cross the miles, So I can see you face to face, And hold you close in warm embrace. Hey little man, you have captured my heart, It's been in your hands right from the start. And though I'm not with you everyday, Know you are loved in every way!

Hi, Paula! No I haven't done that yet. I'm thinking of putting together a book of all the poems I write about him and present it to him when he's older. I may have to frame a copy, though. That's a good idea! Thank you!

Kim, you have hit the nail on the head with this one. My youngest grandchild is now in high school. This poem sure brings back those memories. Thanks.

Hi Kim… My grandson is 16. And by Phil have all his toys. But it was a comfort in seeing them that reminds me of him when he was a little tyke.. I got the care of him a lot and he was small, so I feel very blessed. I got to pick him up every school every day for eight years and are used to spend New Year’s Eve here every year. While mom and dad He will always be love of my life. I can relate to your poem very well. Thank you. Pangie

I've written a couple others, but you are right. He has many childhood years ahead to inspire me. Thank you for commenting, Andrea!
