Hero

I saw you crumble in the rain I saw you falter, I saw you fall apart like paper mache I heard you whisper I heard you pray But your god was on our side that day I saw the Rorchach butterfly, the red rain There'll be no lullaby today, for a man without a name I see the stars that bloom I see the naked sky, I see its faded soul The sorrowful moon I saw the black wings upon your back, I saw you fly I saw the ghost erased from your eyes I hear the silence, it haunts my brain There'll be no memories today, a grave without a name He was more than a hero He was a father and a son He was more than a hero He was a father and a son He was born with name And he died like a man without one
