Her Spirit Sublime-Imagery-

+Her Spirit Sublime+ She knelt in God's marble chapel, in her uniform. A suit of deep, forest green with fresh white blouse honoring God, her King. So young, she bowed her shiny brunette head in reverence, Hearing the robins sing, that teenage spring, singing in angelic consonance. Her prayerbook of black leather, gold-leaf edges and ribboned marker of red, Made her realize as she stroked it, that is was only by God was she to be led. The delicate scent of candles that burnt so bright! The artwork of mosaiced windows, sunlit-hued made her feel heavenly light. Her crystal, beaded rosary which transformed, the white marbled walls, into a supernatural rainbow divine. Grateful, to be in a school, that this memory still sings in her memory, sweet, alive and utterly, sublime!                                      11-30-2020             10:30am PST **Poem of the Day** 12/2/2020 Dedication~ to my high school and religious mentors, who taught me who runs this world! Thank you.

Panagiota, You brought back fine memories of those halls to me. The smell of wooden pews, crisp freshly printed pages. and the light shining through multi-colored glass. Can poetry capture the Glorious Mystery of the Rosary? Perhaps. -Richard

Richard,,was trying to post to a Piem of yours last night but could not. Will try today. Glad you were so clear in your response...Mom and Dad bought me an all crystal rosary. Wow. And if I were in the chapel at the right time, the crystals acted like a prism on the walls, too.my prayer book was white with gold edges. Maybe you can pen one on the Mysteries? Was glad to see life sized mangers in my city, albeit our cracked gov, forbade church attendance. Sorry, I don't know how he gets away with in. Even drive- by mangers were shut down INRI~ soup me if you do not know what it means Pangie xx

Jennifer mou...you owe me nothing. I appreciate your thoughtfulness. Please know I don't expect you to read my silly poetry. Others here are far better. Four people here read me. I have come to accept tHat status. I don't ignore you. Having eye problems...please have a great Christmas. Blessings from myself and my entire family. Panagiota xxx

How sweet of you to say such wonderful things. Growing up was not easy for me. Those moments in chapel, were between God and I. Serenity at it's best. Those wonderful mentors. Patient wise, loving. That school demanded the best of us in all ways.God was the centerpiece. Hugs Pangie xx Merci!

Angela, Hello! My Dad, like yours was similar. He had his prayer book, Rosary and a crucifix on his side of the bed. Mass, every Sunday in a beautiful suit, cuff links, tie, suit over coat and clean leather shoes. Good to know someone carries a prayer book, Bible, whatever. God is still important to many. No matter how many churches or synagogues are closed. People are finally fighting back. Thank you for the kind words...hugs, Pangiexx

Hello Charlie! Healing, now more than ever.i did my best on this....it was a beautiful time in my life.... Just as described in the poem. The high school was All Girls. I think that's a great idea. No plaid short skirts either. Modesty was in vogue then..now? NO! Nice of you to visit. Love, Pangie

This nostalgic and spiritual look back to the days of tranquility of soul bring great peace. Your description of the chapel, the singing of birds, the simple prayers of devotion, scent of candles, colors of the windows, all put together bring me a sense of quiet in a cluttered and noisy world. A fav, for sure, and a big congrats for your POTD today! Poetry hugs ~ John

Dearest John~ I am grateful for tha Fav, your constant support and sweet of you to soup me with Congrats for being in the Anthology. I fully expected not to be. I have no fat- head...these moments, in chapel, were indeed special ones. Thanks to my parents, who sent me to one of the best schools. What passes as schooling today, minus God, is a joke. I realize the antipathy toward both Judaism and Christianity. Morality is more than the golden rule. Never saw these groups destroying cities, believers or houses of worship. I am not God, many think they are,,John in a zany world we live in. Hide the mangers, close churches? Satan is busy! Thanks again...PANGIE.

Never realized the impact this has on my life. It's always there. World leaders are not gods. But hey,, I don't want a job where no matter what you do..you are the object of scorn, citizens think they are Perfect? HAH! Pangie
