Her Music Box

Opening the box, she peers deep inside Soft music is played from its underside A smile appears on her cute tender face Within her a giggle is everyplace Her thoughts race, exactly how could this be How do sounds exit something so pretty The intricate markings on the box’s side This is where the music comes to confide She closes the lid and the music ends Underneath she looks to see where it sends But curiously she just finds a key She turned it, twisted it, quite endlessly Hearing nothing, she flipped the lid open To hear the sounds that emanate within

Good evening my very dear friend. I'm coming by first & for all to extend my b-lated heartfelt condolences. I'm so sorry to hear about your grandma. May God give you & your family all His loving comfort & strength. I came here the other day to comment on our dear friend Gail's blog then, proceeded to your poetry; but, suddenly, got a problem on computer so my message wasn't successfully entered here. Again, you're in my thoughts & prayers my dear friend. Big hugs! About your poem, excellent as always. Kudos again! Love lots, Leonora

Ahhh!!! I too enjoy those music boxes..I have one that has a mother or grandmother bear holding a baby bear and reading to him or her and she is in a rocking chair..The song played is "I Will Always Love You"..Enjoyed reading this one today..Thanks for stopping by..Our Chihuahua/Rat Terrier mix is about 8 lbs..The cat is about 8 pounds and longggggg..They get along fine..I don't think that I would want a Panda in my lap unless it was a toy stuffed one..Sara
