Her Broken Heart
In shadows cast by love's cruel game,
My heart stays shattered, forever the same.
Once, it danced to your sweet serenade,
But now, in sorrow, it finds no aid.
Your eyes, once warm, now burn with ire,
A love once true, now consumed by fire.
I long for solace, a glimmer of light,
But darkness prevails, engulfing my night.
Each day, I hope for a change of heart,
Yet your anger tears our love apart.
A fragile soul, I bear this weight alone,
With tears unbidden, my heart turns to stone.
In the depths of despair, my spirit cries,
For love's sweet embrace, a balm to my sighs.
But alas, it seems our fate is sealed,
A love that's fractured, forever concealed.
So I stand here, broken, my heart undone,
Yearning for love, but feeling none.
A silent plea, in this poem I confide,
Hoping one day, my wounds will subside.
