Help Homeless For Life, Not Just At Christmas
Help Homeless for life, not just at Christmas
Whilst I applaud the Salvation Army
Offering seasonal joy and hot meal.
Warming bed for an overnight stay,
Endemic of Homeless in reveal.
In a country that holds such riches,
What society allows pain and poverty.
Christmas cheer one day, perhaps two,
Rest of the year disregarded misery.
Help our destitute all year round
Better still, don’t let them become needy,
Governments only serve themselves,
To satisfy western ideals, so greedy.
Pretty wrapping around empty boxes,
Empty promises to the value of nought.
Unless you choose to live on the streets,
Your dignity and welfare have been bought.
