Hello January
Hi January, welcome, a hearty welcome I give to thee
Do you have a few dimes to spare
I wish to recount to you, old friend with no pair
How happy I am at your coming, so lively!
This coming year, I plan to let go of sorrow
And to care not for tomorrow
For each corner of life shows a new path
So I shall be there to share more than a laugh
The last year, I learnt to build my strength
Though life I usually live it in the past tense
Thinking of when I was a carefree maiden
Thinking of how a fair knight left me heartbroken
This coming year, I wish to live with confidence
And to laugh at my own clumsy dance
To learn to enjoy what is pleasurable
For life, twice is not to be liable!
So how happy I am to see you at last
A bad year is the one that went past
Always on nerves, always stressed
With myself and my life, I have messed
But I wish to build it all again
And let go of all that can cause pain
So January, come lets toast a glass of wine
For this year, I am sure, everything shall be fine!
