Hell Visits Haiti

Hell Visits Haiti Two, three hurricanes, twice removed by the elements; buildings blown down Suffering rains, haunting floods, dying hearts; many frown Not long after, category seven Earthquake, much tremor Hands to Heaven, as people search for answers from the Savior America and the world mobilizes to help a fallen land This poor, fragile nation has been dealt a terrible blow by some unforseen hand Poorly constructed houses, over two hundred thousand dead in the rubble As natives try to save their love-ones; bare hands, picks and the shovel The people of Haiti, so much loss, hunger, agony and pain They suffer for the missing and the dead; they go almost insane As the days drag into weeks, the smell of death is more intense The people in shock, stare at the president's palace beside the standing fence God, please stretch forth your hands and bless this country Shower each person with great riches and un-ending bounty How much can one person take or capture As once again, mankind suffer; wait for peace and the coming rapture Heavy aftershocks, instill more fear in an already weary and tortured mind The people are made to suffer from a multitude of problems of a different kind Insanitary conditions, lack of food and water; doctors try to save the wounded and the dying Hope is fading fast beneath the devastation and the rubble, not for lack of trying Sometimes people fall short of love, honor, brotherhood and sacrifice Then the entire globe is made to pay a most horrible and unforgiving price More frequent winds, floods, volcanoes, earthquakes and tidal trauma; a dramatic end The Master calls, every nation to give up wars; it's citizens to defend In these times, all men should pray for that Spiritual feeling The hunger for peace and the power of love; awaits the magical healing.
