Heaven's a Sanctuary
One door closes, and one opens
at the time of death and birth.
And when my mortal life ends
I'll step away from this earth.
My eternal soul will be
sanctified within God’s sight.
And it will leave my body
within a tunnel of light.
Immersed in its purity
I'll achieve exaltation.
And my soul will be anointed
devoid of all temptation.
Within the arms of rapture
I’ll discard my human guise.
And enter eternity,
severing all earthly ties.
Heaven’s a sanctuary
filled with God’s eternal love.
And my soul will smile as I
approach paradise above.
