Heat Wave (Tanka)

HEAT WAVE (Tanka) “gods exhort the sun punish the unbelievers” and so it was done the greeks believed in many but we now pray to just one “oh lord please spare us frying eggs on the sidewalk hasn’t been much fun we know we hated winter but summer is a bummer”

Loving this one again and wishing it were summer right NOW. YOu gotta get out of the house and go see Big short. It's really good. Up for an Oscar but I 'm sure that will be for Revenant.

Must agree that the heat of summer is really ruff in this stage of my life..I just sog to death when it is hot even inside in the ac..Great write..Glad that I chose this one to read..Have a great weekend..I am glad that you chose to read one of my writes today..Your comments brightened my day and inspired me to continue to write some more..Sara

haha, I loved that second one, summer is a bummer. Very good. And yes, of course America's Got talent does not measure up to classical musicians, etc. But they are also judging on "entertainment" value. hahaha. LUv, andrea

How'd you like to live in heat nine months of the year, Daver? We go from a long summer to three brief months of "winter" in Florida. Come on down in early November and you can still fry that egg on the sidewalk! Enjoyed the humor in your double tanka, dear friend. Love, Carolyn
