Whispers of the past, like shadows fade, In the heart’s light, grievances unmade. Forgiveness, a quiet balm, gently applied, Healing the wounds where grudges once lied. Echoes of the past, in the halls of now, Whisper lessons of forgiveness, a solemn vow. In understanding’s light, the shadows flee, Bringing forth a future, bright and free. To forgive is to unchain the heart, From the weight of the past, to make a new start. A gift of release, from you to you, In this act of grace, life starts anew. Forgiveness is the road less traveled by, A path of strength, beneath life’s sky. With each step forward, the journey unfolds, In stories of forgiveness, courageously told. With forgiveness, the soul takes flight, Lighter than air, in freedom’s bright light. Above the clouds of resentment and spite, In the clear blue, where hearts reunite.

Oh great poet, The poem introduces the concept of echoes of the past in the present, emphasizing the ongoing relevance of forgiveness. The phrase "Whisper lessons of forgiveness, a solemn vow" suggests that the act of forgiveness is not just a personal choice but a commitment to understanding and learning from past experiences... Dear Sara, Your adeptness in constructing an intricate web of moods is evident in this splendid poem. The depth that it holds is certainly astounding. By deftly picking terms, you expand the scope of this composition. Undoubtedly, the concept of yielding issues and saving oneself from the onerous weight they impose is an insight for the spirit to flourish. Furthermore, the adept utilization of metaphors serves to increase its intrinsic allure, offering an additional stratum of mystique.

thank you, kind Sotto, for your kind and poetic words...they meant a great deal to me. You saw and read beyond the obvious. I'm grateful you found my use of metaphors adept. Sometimes, words and verses flow then the depth from revision follows...such was the case here. Thank you for being a supporter and friend, your poetess friend from Texas, Sara

Non forgiveness is like walking through life with a slab of cement on your back! You did more than well in explaining the lightness of being.. I admire the depth in this ..you do not slam a few words on paper pretending it is a poem! Sara, this a a FAV. And the image displays synchronicity with the verses. Awesome, just awesome.Pangie.

Bearing grudges weighs us down, we shouldn't burden ourselves with them. It really does make the soul soar. Tom

I agree with you 100% Tom. Holding a grudge is a burden along with holding on to regrets...a lot of baggage to carry around. Thanks for your visit. Happy Christmas to you and yours, Sara
