Heart Stolen

How can something so small steal your heart away? Running, Playing the excitement. Purring, rubbing your face. Curled around the neck night after night. Heart filled with love. Laughter, smiles, playing. Belly bloats, blood flows. Sleeping more still wrapped around the neck at night. Heart turns to pain listening to cries. Days pass weaker and weaker. Nothing but tears, hole in the heart. Fresh dirt tears bounce off. How can something so small steal your heart away?
