Heart Penalty

So many feelings So many insecurities Over-thinking everything Marching like a criminal To the beat of my own car-crash Lingering in the fire of defeat Must I meet your hollow empty friends? Deaf I dare not stay Take me back Back to the beginning Heart spun Blindly singing to the sun You nailed my head to the ground You kept me alive You became my muse Until you tightened the noose And kicked the chair from under me Leaving me hanging My heart dangling.
