Heart

No money to spend. No gifts to give I felt I failed my little kid Then she looked up and smiled, With nothing under the tree But a loaf of bread for breakfast And a cup of unsweetened tea. She said, I know times are hard. But I don’t care, I only want Christmas If you are there. That was the sweetest part, Then I realized Christmas come from with in the heart.

Hi Gabby! I think this is the first poem of yours that I'm reading; very impressive. So true that Christmas comes from the heart...it's not the material things that make it. Congratulations on a lovely win. // paul
