Healing Mist
HEALING MIST
All alone in the mist-covered mountains of home I feel
The delight of its mother-soft touch my wound heal
As a girl’s laughter sweeps over from the other side of the hill
And swirls around after in my head without seeming to fill
So for me the chill mist shall always float in my morning’s memory
An almost imperceptible light coat of cooling mystery
Though a lifetime separates me from the whisps of smirs
The mist removes the dessication of the years

smir is a Scottish dialect word for misty weather
