Healing

Sounds can heal gentle ocean waves, soft music, intimate whispers. Oh how some sounds can heal.
Touching can heal fingertips on a cheek or up and down a spine. Hands caressing a face, arms embracing a body. Oh how a touch can heal.
Words can heal the right words at the right time can soothe a soul on edge, can save someone from despair. Proper words, properly spoken show care and compassion in a world rapidly losing both. Oh how words can heal.
Sights can heal the brilliant orange of the rising Sun can make our problems seem small, the bright smile and beautiful eyes of another can also bring healing to hearts worn and torn by the worst this world has to offer. Oh how the sights of nature and of loved ones can heal.
But, it's love that can heal the quickest the love of a parent makes us feel wanted when we don't feel wanted, the love of a sweetheart makes us feel special when our self esteem says otherwise. Love picks us up when we want to stay down, gives us purpose when we think we have none and makes us more than we ever thought we could be. Love takes at least two, thank God for that. Oh how the love of others can heal.
