Headed Home
One day I will see that land
Where milk and honey flow
And one day I shall dwell
Where heaven’s joy I’ll know
I’ll sit and talk for ages
With all my loved ones there
And we will never worry
Or ever have a care
My eyes they shall behold
The streets of purest gold
And I will hear the half
That’s never yet been told
But most of all
I’ll see the king
Who bled and died for me
And in that sacred moment
I’ll hear all heaven sing
It will be such a glorious time
I don’t believe it’s long
Till Christ will split those eastern skies
And I’ll be headed home
