Head Honcho

If I was the ruler of the world... The Head Honcho so to speak First thing I'd do Is to rule out all wars forever They never accomplish anything Except kill many innocent folks like you and me The end results never justifies the loss Of so many innocent souls When will we ever learn Or WILL we ever learn Man has been acting like animals since the beginning The Leader of the Pack, the Head Honcho My question is... WHY? Is there a gene embedded in our psyche That forces us to consider war Instead of a lifetime of peace and contentment Seems kinda silly to me There certainly is a dark side To us guys, a so called intelligent species If only we could all live in peace forever And never have to fight another war What a dreamer! © Jack Ellison 2014

Agreed!! I've known quite a few people that have ended up joining the military - one who passed away as well. There isn't a war that I can think of that isn't soaked in lies and hypocrisy! Deep down I don't think you'd like to be the Head Honcho though... you're too humble and peace-loving of a guy! :)

It's the lunatic fringe at the top that cause all the trouble! The majority of average joe's on the street are peace loving and that goes for people all over the globe!

You dream because it is on the lighter side... with love, and God. As long as greed and hate can get people some thing they want... there will be wars... My son who enlisted goes in on November 11th... The 101st airborn was sent to Liberia to help... when there still is no cure for Ebola... Casey will be in the army infantry... Thank GOD! I hope they think his life is worth more than their's. I see that as a suicide mission... it should be strictly volunteer... in my mind. But it wasn't! I think Obama should be made to go!
