He Will Be Loved
To the man I have always loved
Who pampered me with so much dolls
Despite having a quick temper
But, always been hesitant to spank me when I was a kid
Who taught me his golden rule
"Never come home late"
Despite me at my nearly 30's age
The one who taught me what discipline is
This once a Daddy's girl have never forgotten
How much this kid adored by you
He, who worked hard to send me to college
Is the same man I always argue with
Who told me I am his greatest opponent
Who feels and speak sorry more than I do
But Papa, whatever may happen
I may not be as sweet as you are
I will always be the child
Who will wish to see you grow old than me
Because you will always be loved
*a poem I wrote in celebration of Father's Day*
