Written for a little fawn whose young life was cut short by a wreck-less driver.
Wails of agony and anguish;
a tender fawn lies to languish.
Crippled by a car, on a wreck-less drive,
this fragile life, cannot survive.
In a cacophony of empathetic pain
birds echo with a shrill refrain.
A pall of sadness rustles in the breeze;
a gentle heart, settles to his knees.
A single shot, a force, a blast,
an eerie solemn stillness, filled the woods at last.
