Written for a little fawn whose young life was cut short by a wreck-less driver.

Wails of agony and anguish; a tender fawn lies to languish. Crippled by a car, on a wreck-less drive, this fragile life, cannot survive. In a cacophony of empathetic pain birds echo with a shrill refrain. A pall of sadness rustles in the breeze; a gentle heart, settles to his knees. A single shot, a force, a blast, an eerie solemn stillness, filled the woods at last.

How careless one can get when it comes to animals, they are so vulnerable beneath our power, so sad to hear Paulette, :(

Hi Vie, yes, it was the most harrowing experience. I cried all through the night after witnessing this terrible incident. The agent kept saying, it is now out of its misery...the perpetrator should only know the heinous act committed. Thanks for stopping by. :)Paulette

My father, a world war 2 vet, would not let even a roach suffer let alone a deer. Well said.
