Happy Or Sad, It Is a Choice
Why is one person more popular than another?
Could it be their approach to life?
People gravitate towards upbeat individuals
To forget their own trials and strife
If given the choice to be happy or sad
Why would anyone chose the latter
Life's too short to get hung up on negatives
When really so much doesn't matter
Life was meant to be lived like a stage play
An opening, a middle and an ending
With so many diversions to test us each day
Our quest must be totally unbending
There is no substitute for a happy full life
When you're gone and lovingly remembered
People will only recall the good times you had
So be cheerful till you get to December
